Very successful outcomes
Having been the Project Manager representing the developer at 80 Collins Street, I had the opportunity to work with Melbourne Commercial Interiors (MCI) whilst they undertook fit out works across several tenancies. As part of my role, I was required to be an intermediary between the developer/ landlord, the base builder (Multiplex) and the tenancy fit out contractors. Consequently, this allowed me to closely witness the manner in which MCI approach their projects and the quality with which they deliver.
80 Collins Street presented unique challenges to fit out contractors by way of needing to undertake works within a prominent CBD development whilst construction was still in progress. This resulted in fit out works logistics requiring to be closely coordinated with base build construction works. Where a number of contractors found issue with these unique circumstances, the team at MCI lead by Steve Harrop approached the project with a ‘can-do’ attitude and at every avenue sought to achieve?the best outcome for their client. This approach and attitude has resulted in very successful outcomes.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the MCI team to undertake any works you present them with, and I certainly look forward to working with MCI myself sometime in the near future. Should you have any queries, or wish to discuss my recommendation in more detail, please don’t hesitate to contact me at any time.
Their work is immaculate
To firstly introduce myself, my name is Greg Sanderson the Director of The Speakeasy Group. We are a boutique Hospitality Group that owns and operates 8 Bars & Restaurants across VIC & NSW. Over the past 10 years we have built all 8 venues to our unique specifications. We do not purchase existing venues and thus have worked with a number of designers and building companies in this time. We have never worked with any as good and reliable as M.C.I. (Melbourne Commercial Interiors). Our most recent project (2020) is called Nick & Nora’s which is located at 80 Collins St Melbourne. The build was from a cold shell, over 2 levels and is approximately 450 square meters.
The build offered (as many do) a number of difficulties (including being a Union site with many companies involved in the base build) with each challenge being extremely well tackled by all in their team. Nothing was too difficult and their focus never wavered from getting ourselves, the client, the best finished product possible. Their work itself is immaculate, which is managed with an eye for detail and throughout the entire project they have been an absolute dream to work with. On the Nick & Nora’s project I even received emails from the base builders and the developers commending our company for choosing M.C.I. Further-more, I found their quote to be detailed and accurate with the project being delivered on budget and on time.
I would not hesitate to use M.C.I. for our future projects, nor would I hesitate to recommend them for any job, small or large to anyone that is considering them as their builders. If you had specific questions regarding M.C.I and my experience with them, please do not hesitate to contact myself via phone or email on the details below. Best of luck on your build.
This company is second to none
As the President of the St Kilda Army & Navy Club RSL Sub-Branch and as the internal project manager for Project 2020, (major refurbishment of RSL club rooms), I am writing this letter on behalf of the general committee. Earlier this year following an extensive tender process we awarded the contract for the refurbishment of our 1st floor club rooms to Melbourne Commercial lnteriors (MCl). From the very start of our dealings with MCI we were very impressed with their professional approach, always delivering what was requested and always on time.
The team from MCl, with on-site lead Steve Harrop, demonstrated professionalism, flexibility and ability, with a constant can-do attitude which ensured that the project ran smoothly. As the project was funded by a government grant it was essential that a tight control of costs was kept and any potential budget blow outs were avoided. This was achieved via constant communications with the MCI team. Communication was further enhanced with regular updates, including revised design drawings and photographs of the progress of cabinetry being built at the off-site factory.MCI having an off-site factory was very important to us, as the RSL is situated in a building with private residents and having this facility meant the noise during the project was kept to a minimum.
The St Kilda Army & Navy Club RSL Sub-Branch General Committee highly recommend MCI for any type of internal commercial fit out projects. The attention to detail shown by this company is second to none and I would be happy to allow anyone to inspect their work at our premises.
The highest standard possible
I’m writing this letter to recommend the services of Melbourne Commercial interiors over the past seven years Melbourne Commercial Interiors have delivered many projects to Degani on time, on budget and with no defects. Melbourne Commercial Interiors(MCI) have demonstrated their vast experience and knowledge within the building and shop fitting industry. As a brand Degani stores vary in size from small kiosk to large big box stores which MCI have built and deliver on every occasion to the highest standard possible.
Stephen and Mark professionalism, flexibility and ability to work with us and our clients is second from none. I would highly recommend Melbourne Commercial Interiors as a shop fitter or builder for any projects that you may have.
I am more than happy to talk with you directly should you have any further questions relating to their business and inability to provide a service and high-quality build that will be more than satisfied your requirements.
